Maximizing responsiveness


I wish A. would come home. It's no fun here without him.

I was just editing a brochure that claimed that our customer call centers have 200 representatives "available to maximize responsiveness 14 hours a day."

Read it a couple of times. Read it aloud. It's not only impersonal, it's a mouthful. It sounds like we're a big, roaring customer care factory. So I slashed that puppy. I'm all about the touchy and the feely.
