Television!

My life just got infinitely better.

Netflix now carries all the "Sports Night" episodes on DVD.

(For those non-nerds out there, "Sports Night" was "The West Wing" writer/creator Aaron Sorkin's experimental half-hour sitcom on ABC in 1998. Hard to believe it's been that long. Without a laugh track, the sitcom was about the crew of a late-night cable sports network and their various dramas. It had a stellar cast, beautiful, moving writing, and snappy dialogue, much the same as "The West Wing." And for somebody who doesn't care for sports, I found myself riveted. Until ABC, who knew exactly how to market pap like "Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place," was tired of scratching its head over this anomaly and pulled the plug. You can tell I'm not bitter.)

Anyway, Joshua Malina from the "Sports Night" cast is now a regular on "TWW," and I've been looking around for "SN" episodes on DVD. They're quite expensive to buy, but Netflix finally has them to rent. I'm already catching up on "The Sopranos" that way, and it's so much more satisfying than actually watching regular TV.
